Oh my, there's a memory for ya.

1973, working at TRW Systems Group, a buddy of mine and I headed 
down to J J Glass Surplus in Los Angeles and came home with several
of them. We set two up in the lab we were working in and sent Don
Martin cartoons (From Mad Magazine) back and forth.

We even managed to get a pair of them working at the house via 40 
meters. Not sure if we were actually supposed to do that, but we did.

J J Glass indeed. Fond memories of over priced stuff and dust in vast
quantities. Always a surprise to go down there and see what the old
lady was trying to get rid of that week.
