[GreenKeys] Model 15 maintenance

At the risk of being the "List Lurker". . . . .
   
    I used to work for a 3rd party outfit that maintained Unisys and NCR banking equipment. One of the "old hands" that used to work for NCR told us he used Marvel Mystery Oil on various shafts, bearings and rollers as a light weight oil. Particularly on noisy bearings when he didn't have the part on hand, or the operator wasn't sufficiently annoyed to allow him to take the machine down long enough to change out parts. He would run some MMO into the bearing, and when it began howling he would follow with some 20/50.
    Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?  Would the MMO be light and long lasting enough to lube the 15, or will it turn to green paste?
