[GreenKeys] source for new 1" paper tape?

One of the "tricks" I used to do was to put the tape in a plastic bag
with a tablespoon of light oil about 10 weight or thinner.
Shake it around and put it on a shelf and let it sit for a couple of
months. The paper will eventually absorb enough of the oil
to keep the punch lubed. You can also supplement by spraying
carefully with a red straw tube across the punch pins and block
with One Lube.

Best,
Don

yes... really. I don't think we are desperate yet for tape so nobody
should go crazy and lose body parts for the cause.

I had considered the bandsaw approach once or twice already though.
But wasn't sure if I could get a clean enough edge from the cut.
Maybe a
high-end machine shop could laser cut it? I dunno.

Seems like there are a lot of sources of rolls for cash registers or
maybe even the tty print rolls could be sliced into 1" wide sub-rolls.
Maybe I do need that ANSI spec so that I know what the weight of the
paper should be :-)

But if we did that, we probably need a new scheme for oiling the punch.
Would it be sufficient to just manually apply oil to it (rather than
the tape) every so often if the tape itself is not carrying the oil?
