Standard time for almost whole central Europe is generated just a few
kilometers from my home here in Braunschweig (Brunswick).

The signal is being transmitted over a long wave transmitter near
Frankfurt on 77.5 kHz
and receivable almost all over Europe, even by wristwatches...
