What a fun nite...just finished restoring a Navy TTY machine that had a 
green tag from San Francisco Naval Shipyard.  The tag indicated it was 
rebuilt there in 1957 (12-10-57).  Geeze, it must've been old then in '57 !

Just watching and listening to this unique machine pumping away on the W1AW 
signal was an experience.  Everytime I watch something like this I can't 
help but think of the men who designed them and got 'em into 
production....What an incredible piece of history sitting on the bench 
working as it did over 50 years ago.
