[GreenKeys] ASR35 keyboard doesn't work like I want it to...

I never heard of a loop current to RS232 converter that cares about
parity...!
And, again, just because it prints to the printer doesn't mean you
have the
PC set up correctly to decode the keyboard input.

Don,

The current loop converter has dip switches to allow me to set parity,
etc. I played with it quite a bit (no pun intended) and finally got
output to the printer, but it is entirely possible that I have not
connected the correct wires in the correct sequence. Getting this
working is my weekend project.

Here's a link to the device specs and a manual, such as it is . . .

http://www.telebyteusa.com/catalog/products/65a.htm

I'm not sure about the exact details of this ASR35, but the typing
unit is a model 35H according to the serial number plate.

I recall George saying it was a later manufactured model - it really
is a creampuff of a machine. I believe it was removed from a phone
company switching center.

Any suggestions regarding other things to look for are always
appreciated.

Thanks,

Bryan Brodie

marking, but some were all spacing.
> However if your M35 is a newer model it will output even parity via
the 8th bit.
