Maybe, but I took it when he said "RS-232 powered" and 60ma loop in the

I looked at doing just that with 24V... decided it was a fool's errand 
as I don't think a CV-89 will key properly on 24V - and I definitely 
want to get that working (if I *ever* get time)...

New, ones? naw.  If they are new - they ain't as good as the old ones 
(the two in my livingroom were made in the plant my father-in-law worked 
at - and while you;re never sure he actually had a hand in these 
specific chairs (they run two and three shifts at times in Newton); he 
of one of his neighbors almost certainly did.

better to tempt me with nachos, (or chips, or iced tea or YEAH a 
Klondike Bar - I'll show up for one of those!).
