Is there documentation on that TU anywhere? (i.e., schematics, plans, etc.)

Please don't scrap out a TT/L-2! Some of those parts are absolutely impossible to find anymore. From everything that I have heard, they are the best hollowstate TU ever made. I have one right now that in a few weeks will be cleaned, re-capped and put back into use.
I wanted to build one my self, until I realized that there simply are no more 80 Henry chokes left in the known universe. Some of the interstage transformers are also getting very hard to find, and near equals are very expensive. Heck, even the torroids are getting very difficult to find.
If you want some documentation, go to Amazon and look for an old ARRL book titled Specialized Communications Techniques, published in 1975. It is ARRL publication # 6. It has the complete schematic and is quite helpful in understanding how the unit works.
It is just my opinion, probably worth what I charge for it, but to me, to scrap a decent TT/L-2 would be like scrapping a rare TTY or radio.
