For those still stuck in Windows land, no windows based utility would reveal a virus within a linux application, that is if it existed at all! 

I will test drive the Shackbox this weekend. I am surprised that I haven't read about it sooner. I am always on the lookout for Linux Ubuntu applications. 

I have been using Ubuntu for 3 years on all six of my networked computers and I am most pleased. 
FWIW, None of these computers uses or requires an antivirus, antispyware, antimalware, antitrojan or what ever creative Windows users need to maintain and protect the paid software!
