Jon,

I don't consider it hazardous as I have numerous machines running here
and one of them is dedicated to do nothing but test junk like this.
It is not connected to my home network or even the internet.  All of
the updates are done from disks and if that machine gets infected it
is no big deal to wipe and reload the OS.

Ahh the joys of being in the IT field.
