Joe,
"Back in the day" we stored our paper maintenance program tapes in 1.5" tall plastic parts boxes. Depending on the length of the tape you could fit 5 - 6 in a box with compartments that went fully from front to back for large ones, or a dozen in a box with smaller compartments.

I thought that I might ask my better half to look for round metal tins the next time that she goes to a craft store. Sometimes they have those, but not always.
Any thoughts on this?
