I was informed in early November that Don Weig owner of the Sharon Telephone
Company in Sharon, Wisconsin may have some Model 33 machines for the asking.
I talked to Don and expressed my interest in getting a couple of machines if
they were in fact still available. After a long discussion with Don we
agreed that I would bring my truck and 20ft. trailer to Sharon and pickup
the entire lot. The wheels were in motion until a snow storm rolled in to
Sharon the day I was going to make the pickup. Don and I have spoken and
decided that the pickup will have to wait until the winter weather breaks
since he will have to move a lot of equipment in his warehouse outside to
reach the machines and he can't expose this equipment to the elements. My
intent is not to horde these machines, but to sort out the good, the bad,
and the ugly among them. Obviously I want a couple for my own restoration
and use and have been in contact with Wayne in Vermont regarding restoration
of several more of the machines. Once I have a complete accounting of the
machines and their respective condition I was planning on posting this
information to the Greenkeys group before offering anything to anyone
outside of the group. I owe the Greenkeys a lot as they have been an
invaluable source of information and encouragement and therefore I believe
the members of the Greenkeys group should have the first opportunity to this
equipment. My greatest fear is that this equipment would somehow find its
way into a landfill and I decided not let that happen. I have seen this
before too many times and we all know this equipment is irreplaceable.

I think I missed the description of what's in Sharon, WI, too.

I'm an hour straight north of there.
