I also recommend visiting Hal Guretzky at Land Air Communications in
Richmond Hill, Queens. This guy has a warehouse full of every classic
boatanchor and test equipment you've ever seen. Gold dust twins? He has a
ROW of them! Check out these photos. Barely scratches the surface. He's a
nice guy to boot. Everything is for sale. Prices are all ebay prices, but
sure is a great place to visit regardless.

I want to remind all of you old-Hams that Leeds Radio is still alive
and well in New York City (Brooklyn).
Tom Tillson, Larry Tighe (K2JIA), and myself visited the venerable
shop last Saturday. If you ever need that old-time radio part that you
think is
unobtanium, contact Richard at Leeds.
I picked up some ceramic slug-tuned coil forms and a crank
knob for my HAL ST-8000.

It's worth the trip to stop by... unbelievable!
