Hello Don.

Actually Windows 7 was released to volume license customers on August 7 for 
download.  We have it in had where I work ( a state university).

I did do some testing on the beta version and it was a whole lot better than 
Vista (but that would not take much) and the hardware requirement has been 
downgraded from the Vista requirements!

You are correct,  it is supposed to be released for sale in October.
