I developed "https://sourceforge.net/projects/baudotrss/", which will
read RSS feeds and print them out on a Baudot Teletype. This is a Python
program. Right now, you have to get the sources with Subversion; there's
no simple download-and-install package. It works well on Windows machines
with standard serial ports. (Linux machines have trouble getting to 45.45
baud, and most USB to serial port converters won't do 45.45 baud.)
The Reuters RSS feed looks good on a Teletype. The stories are of
moderate length, about five lines each, and each story is a consistent
paragraph. Many other news feeds just chop the input and end it with "...".
You can print any RSS feed with this program, including Twitter output,
if you can find a Twitter feed worth printing. It will poll a whole list of
feeds if desired, printing new stories as they come in.
