Mmmm, LTSpice, I use it and have a lot of fun playing with it.

The 1 uF cap to provide the initial "kick" to the selector magnet.
A question I might throw in to confuse things a teeny bit.

Are you considering a secondary "turn off" function as well to
get the selector magnet to de-sellect?

Either a short across it, or a small negative pulse to get it to
transistion back to the de-energized position.

Just a thought.
