Well, she's working like a charm.  After extensive cleaning and lubrication, 
the machine is cranking out the fox message perfectly.

Somehow, that governor is right on the button and I didn't have to touch it.

I connected the beast to an RCA Model 15 and it ran perfectly the first 
time....so, no more anxiety of governed motors.

Thanks for all the inputs and suggestions...especially to leave it original 
and not change out the motor.

One curious find....the pinion and main shaft gears had no part number on 
them! !
