It's been a productive evening with the model 14 punch block. I removed the block and disassembled it. Five of the punch pins came out reluctantly but without real problems. The sixth pin was a bear. After several hours of work, the last pin finally came loose. Of course it was in the up position so the spring loaded return bar snapped it into the dark corner across the room. A few minutes on hands and knees turned it up again. Most of the punch block parts are now marinating in mineral spirits and the pins are in their numbered bags waiting for a polish with jeweler's rouge. I'm hoping to have the punch block completely reassembled and ready for reinstallation tomorrow.

I removed the motor and selector magnets and i washed the rest of the model 14 in Green Clean. The selector bars are still gummy and pretty sluggish. I am considering disassembling the selector bars and the punch levers on the upper right side of the selector bar assembly for cleaning. It isn't particularly hard but it is tedious and there are lots of small parts to lose. A bigger bucket and some kerosene may be a better option.
