WN5HAK in May, 1972,
WB5HAK General Class, Oct 1972, Advanced Class January, 1973 or so.  Never 
was commercially licensed, as I went into the educational field upon 
discharge from the Navy.
Started RTTY in Uncle Sam's Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club circa 1968-1972 (USS 
Edson, DD-946), continued as a ham with greenkeys (Model 19 and 28's) from 
General class licensing to mid 80's, then glass RTTY since.  My first RTTY 
QSO was with Irv Hoff, W6FFC.  He was the only one that could copy the old 
Twin Cities TU I had "breadboarded" allllll over the workbench that day. 
Had so much RF, he said only his ST-6 would have had a chance decoding it, 
hi hi.  I now have two 28 ASR's awaiting restoration/use.  (wife doesn't 
mind the noise or smell!!) and hope to get them on the air soon.  I hope 
more of you get more of the old machines "on the air" so we can keep 20m 
RTTY from becoming totally used by Pactor email monsters!!  Would give much 
more RTTY for other Greenkeyers to copy!!
