Hello to the Group,
    In the past several month's I have obtained numerous MITE
UGC-38/41 and also TT-299 manuals.
   Also I have the MITE UGC-38 RO and the MITE UGC-41
KSR.
  The UGC-41 keyboard didn't work and ran open.  After careful
inspection have found a nut and washer off the space bar.
That was corrected and manually by hand seems to work O.K.
  When reinstalled the keyboard still didn't work on signaling the
Selector Magnets.  I looked at both the 38 and 41 and the mech-
anics looked identical.   So I swapped the 38 RO to the 41 KSR
base.    The keyboard didn't respond mechanically.  After re-
moving both units and careful examination I see that the 38
has no gear to the camshaft but does have an idler gear.
I also noticed the camshaft was longer on the 38.  If I can put
a spacer on the cam shaft and line it up with the 41 KSR base,
would that work.
   I would like to hear from others that have worked on the
MITE'S.
   Any help would be appreciated.
