The ST6 rear connections allow you to use the internal loop keyer with an external loop.
It basically brings the keying transistor's collector outside the box. You could
then directly key the MITE's internal loop to ground.
If you want to use a polar relay, you'll need to provide a 30 ma. loop for
the bias winding of the relay for it to work properly.
Another option, although I haven't tried it with the ST6, is to use the ST6's
RS232 output (plus/minus 12VDC) to key a polar relay. Put the
relay's two windings in series and hook the two leads to the TX out data
of the ST6. I've been using a polar relay in similar fashion off the COM
port of my PC as my "RS232-to-loop"converted. Couldn't be
easier (or cheaper).
