[GreenKeys] An explanation needed

This is my first submission to Greenkeys, so please excuse if my format
is not correct.

I would like to get an explanation at a very elementary level of how a
printer synchronizes with incoming Baudot code. I would like it to
include diagrams of the equipment involved.

For example, I believe a distributor is used: if so, how does it know
when to start rotating?

Does it sync.on the Start pulse because the Start pulse's length is
greater than the Stop pulse's length and the five information pulses'
length?

And I would like a diagram/s showing the mechanical linkage from the
electromagnets/solenoids controlled by the information pulses from the
distributor that somehow are connected to individual keys.

My above guesswork on how syncing is done may be all wrong but it
indicates the level of explanation I would like to get.

I imagine a printer operational manual exists that goes into this kind
of detailed explanation but I have not been able searching with Google
to find one that can be downloaded, or any other way I can get an
explanation.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks, Jess Hanchrow
