[GreenKeys] Tip - Sleeve Cords on eBay...

Hi Duncan,

In some jack-fields these cords might not work well but It depends on
the jacks you plug them into. Most of mine work just fine.
However I am using a telco T1 carrier patch panel and I have hand
selected most of the jacks that are in it.
The older 63C1 loop switchboards would not work real well with these
cords.
That being said I used these cords at the museum in California in a
63C1 and they worked okay with very few exceptions.

The older designed rounded tip sleeve cords are hard to find these
days and when they become available the sellers want a good price.
The same goes for 310 Weco type jacks and plugs. Very hard to come
by. The stereo cables do not work in a 310 TRS jack.

Most applications have changed to Bantam. And most of these plugs are
plated in nickel or gold so they work well for just about anything.
The nice part about the new plated plugs is you seldom have to worry
about cleaning them.

Note that these are "modern" plugs. They do not work well with older
(M19,
WWII ) jacks that used a plug with a rounder tip.
