Well if you can find it in time, the latest issue of ARRL QEX has an
article on building a crystal receiver, with emphasis on impedance
matching.  Now I understand why those early receivers used so many
multi-tap switches on the coils.  Since I can't mail attachments to
the whole list I'll scan a page or two and mail to you separately.
