I once had a 28 RO that was WHITE.  Supposedly came from a Naval  
hospital.  I would not liked trying to keep it clean.

The list that was previously posted shows a 'BR' finish that is also
called Navy light gray.  Paint code BR and paint code BU are the
exact same paint - no difference at all.  So, why the different codes?
Paint code BU is Navy light gray applied over a plain primer.  Paint
code BR is Navy light gray applied over a zinc chromate primer.  The
BR finish is presumably more corrosion resistant.

I had a Model 28 ASR cabinet that was finished in medium blue - color
code ES.  The color was like IBM blue.  It was a great looking machine.
I also had some 28 KSR/RO cabinets that were finished in light olive
gray smooth vinyl -- also known as the Model 35 color or color code HF.
The HF color looked great on Model 28 machines.  It would have been a
great alternative to the "standard" GA gray-green textured vinyl finish.

There were some color codes that didn't describe a single color.  They
were used to describe a color scheme that might include 3 or four
different colors.  Specifically, you will find this on the machine
known as the Magnetic Tape Terminal.  The MTT could be used with a
Model 33, 35, 37 or 38.  If may also have been usable with other  
machines.
In order to color match the MTT with the different machines, there
were different color schemes even though the basic mechanism was the
same.  I don't have my reference handy but I will let you know what
the codes are in a few days.
