[GreenKeys] Radio up and working... Question...

Hi Lar, Can not think of RTTY in terms of bauds and words per minute.
In the USA we have three speeds available in our machines. 60, 75 and
100 wpm are the standard. Typically a machine being used in ham radio
is a 60 or 100 wpm mechanical device. In Europe many of the machines
were 66 wpm.
A US 60 wpm machine will have 22 ms marking pulses and a stop pulse of
31 ms. Those are the most common in amateur radio use.
American Bell 65 wpm 45.45 baud
Europe 66.67 wpm 50 baud
US Miltary 61.33 wpm 50 baud stop pulse is longer
American Bell 76.67 wpm 56.88 baud
American Bell 100 wpm 74.2 baud
I recommend picking up a used RTTY manual on ebay They go cheap and
will cover both the mechanical and electrical information on available
machines.
It is easy to build up a UART circuit and convert the lower speeds for a
high speed machine(printer). Going the other way requires a buffer.
Someone else may have a better answer.

How do you convert Bauds to WPM? Great list, thanks.

There is a RTTY frequency list at http://www.rtty.com/rtty_list.htm
