Hi Dave:
I am the greenkeys moderator. The only reason a postwould get bumped to
me for approval is if it is a message from someonewho is not subscribed
to the list. Sometimes it is a member who justhappened to post using a
different address (which I either just approveor may subscribe), and
sometimes (usually) it is spam I need todelete. I usually check
greenkeys every day, but if a message iswaiting for me, it might take up
to a day for me to see it and approveit. Again, this will only happen
if you post from an non-subscribedaddresss. Individual messages are not
moderated -- that would reallybe way too much work for me to ever agree
to.
If a messagebounces back to YOU from greenkeys, with a message about it
lookinglike spam, then I never see it. You can forward me the bounce
and Ican look into it. I am trying to get one of George's posts to get
pastthe spam filters right now. Certain phrases will trigger a spam
bounceback to you. Also, if you try to post in html, it will bounce
back.
Thegreenkeys spam filters are kinda strict I suppose (set up by the
mainguys; not by me). But they catch a whole crap-load of spam for us,
soI guess we can't complain about the occassional spam-filter bounce
whenit sees a phrase it does not like. Might be something as simple
as"mortgage rate."
Send me a copy of the message you can not post.
ps: I will be in Disneyland from next Friday to Monday -- don't expect
meto see greenkeys during this time. And, the weekend after that, I
willbe at cub-scout camp from that Friday to Monday. Just a couple
ofrather-rare moderation blackout periods where I am gone.
thanks,
gil

All:
Does anyone know why traffic doesn't make it thru the qth.mailman.net
system? I've sent several messages to the Greenkeys list, and only
saw one (1) message make it through the system. This has happened
before, so it's not the first time. Are individual messages moderated
before being permitted to go to the list? Appreciate any help or
clarification on this one.....(and wish it were on yahoogroups, so
everyone
could see, and reply to all the items of interest on the list at the
same
time, instead of individually).
thanks,
Dave F
