Wayne, Some years back Ham Radio Mag or 73 Mag (forgot which) ran plans for building JUST the LED tuning unit for use with other TUs... I constructed several though I do prefer the CRT + display... this weekend I will dig out the mag and scan it for you if you like... 73 John WB6BLV at inreach.com
