[GreenKeys] VISTA

I am no Vista fan and I don't run it for personal or business use. My stuff
is all on XP. But two of my kids run Vista and they like it. It's aimed at
the whole multi-media-blog-RSS-Animoto-gaming-etc. culture. If you want to
make MP4 videos and animations for your cell phone, then you will be happy
with Vista. If you're surfing the web, hanging out on eBay, doing the
occasional MS-Word document and using serious apps like Photoshop or
AutoCAD, then you are not a Vista candidate due to both performance and
reliability in those environments.
To me, that is where this stands. I'm just glad, knock on wood, that I don't
need to add any computers for work or play right now. Vista would certainly
be in the way for me. Add in all the "emerging" but-not-quite-there-yet
hardware technologies like core 2 quad and eSATA, etc., now is not a great
time to upgrade.

VISTA is a poor operating system. It is not used in any corporate
environments to my knowledge.
If you can keep from using it you will have many fewer problems.
XP PRO is the best for WINDOWS
Many PC experts are recommending LINUX
Good luck to all,
