Hello to everyone in the group,

Would it be sacrilegious to modify my M28 AUTODIN
machine to a regular ASR? Parts have been purchased to
make this machine like normal, need the sheet metal
for for the single T.D., preferably with the Globe
Teletype emblem.
This machine has probably been through George
Hutchinson's hands, someone has painted it Ford engine
enamel blue, I have stripped most of the paint down to
the Western Union green/Grey, most of the hammer
tone/Wrinkle finish is still intact, would Navy Grey
be inappropriate to finish the cosmetics?

I'm going to give the RiceGuy AND Sherry & Randy a run
for there money on this Restoration.

It's NOT a competition, It's a love of these machines,
but some rivalry can give us impetus to keep them
running, I'm probably the youngest one on the list,
never worked on them professionally, but I had M15/19
and a M28RO when I was about eight years old, built a
two tube and some 88 Mh toroids converter driven out
of my old R-388 receiver, much less QRM, many more
RTTY signals back then, lot of crypto from 'Nam, AP
,UPI, RTTY art, and even amateur QSO'S, some things
should never change, many people will never experience
the smell and sound of an old teleprinter, anyway
enough of my rant, are there any wiring diagrams for
an AUTODIN machine available?, I do not want to hack
this machine up, none of my manuals show this
configuration.
