[GreenKeys] Teletype over the Internet

This topic is really interesting. ITTY is a great tool and it's nice to have a signal that is always on for demonstrations. I would love to have an ethernet connection I can plug my TTY's into. It would be too cool to have a chat room environment for multiple people to communicate, a point to point communication scheme and a SELCAL feature for leaving messages on your buddy's TTY. At least those are the ones that come to mind immediately. Obviously you can do all those things over the air. But, many of our group are not Hams or may not have the time, money, or desire to do everything required to get a station put together. Once you get a transmitter, receiver, TU, antenna and all the interface wiring hooked up and working, you still have signal propagation to deal with. Then you have to look around 6 bands to find someone. Try finding someone to trade RTTY ART with on the air someday, it's not easy.
I know just enough to be dangerous, but could you use Hamachi to create the network, then you need an application layer of software that handles all the "stuff" too get from an RS232 port to the ethernet. We already have TTY Connect that can get us from the serial port to our TTY. Does TTY Connect handle full duplex? Would you even need that?
