[GreenKeys] US FLAG CODE AMENDED

GA. listmembers,

Remember that those veterans who are Navy or Marine Corps cannot render
a salute uncovered. Just FYI to remember your cover before you attend
an event that requires saluting. Also, since Navy and Marine Corps
personnel uncover indoors, they may not render the military salute
unless specific permission is given to remain covered indoors.
Therefore, if no permission is given, veterans of N-MC must render the
civilian salute, or simply stand at attention.

This being said, and reading some of the posts regarding the Colors,
remember that we honor what the Colors stand for, the same way as we
never are released from our oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution
of the United States. Also, it makes no difference who the C in C is.
One respects the office of President, one doesn't have to respect the
person holding that office, we just have to obey all orders issued from
said C in C.

I realize that right now, the Colors have become a hollow symbol,
because there are too many liberal activists trying to use the judicial
system to rewrite the constitution. I forsee 4 to eight years of hell.
It would not suprise me in the least if we saw a depression worse than
that beginning in 1929. If the current administration had any cojones,
this would have all been over in 15 mins on 09/12/2001 with a Boomer
coming to launch depth, keys would have been turned, three jolts would
have been felt as the missiles departed the launch tubes, and Islamic
Terrorism would have been a thing of the past, for without a religion to
die for, there is no point in terrorism. If one wants to get technical,
we wouldn't even have to go nuke...If we really wanted to send a
message, simply replace the warhead bus on the Minuteman II with a
"pseudo asteroid" say a core of HY-80, Inconel X, or for that matter,
depleted uranium, covered in a thick layer of steel reinforced epoxy,
and an ablative shield. Add a stage to accelerate the "asteroid" on
final re-entry, and one has a pretty decent, non-nuclear, city buster.

Kinetic Energy weapons, one minute a city, the next minute a plasma
trail and utter destruction.. everything would seem to happen in
reverse, first the impact, then the sighting of the white streak of the
plasma trail, then the sonic booms, that is, for those still alive to
see and hear this. I have absolutely no sympathy for terrorists, and
IMHO, they should be treated like "irregular forces" not subject to
terms of the Geneva Convention. We have plenty of walls and stakes, and
plenty of those who would gladly join firing squads to rid this country,
and the world, of those who would do us harm. OIL? sure, run up the
Colors and take it for reparations.

This is the only time I will post off topic like this, but the Flag
still means something to me, I was proud to serve under the Colors,
regardless of what the great unwashed rabble in the US thought.
END RANT!
