Very well Larry,

I certainly see and respect your point of view. My value system is
probably distorted since I have been retired since 1996 and the value
of money has changed tremendously since then.
Also my XYL watches my expenditures very carefully.

Hi Don,

I too share by giving away machines and equipment. However, in the
past when bidders were "readable", I noticed you were always first to
"stake a claim" on nice items. I respected that at first.

However, it became clear your bids were so far below the winning
bidder's final presentment that, I was shocked at how low your bids
were compared to the winner and what I would have bid. In effect, a
"courtesy" abandonment of an item was actually denying me the item
when so many of your bids were terribly low!

I know of one fellow who used a friend to bid against you so as not to
"offend" you. There were many raised bids between your low offer and
the final winner....in other words, you weren't even close.

Thus, using your logic, there then becomes an onus upon the
"respected" greenie who bids first and the others who don't when the
bid is over and the "first" greenie lost the bid...and so did others
for "respecting" that low first bid.
