Thanks for your reply.  Yeah, I realize the cost of such a unit.  I
guess the government can aford it and it's probably build to Mil-Spec
standards.  Worth a shot though.

Sounds like the consensus to go the ST-6* era route is what I need to
do.  I will go seek that out.  I did get my hands on a ST-8000 surplus
unit and I was looking into interfacing that output into the loop
supply with auto-start.  Probably a mistake on my part.
