Paul,

Makes my heart ache to be here in the frozen north when I want to be
there to show people around and tell the story of data communications
1300-1986.

My son has a videotape I made of the last tour of the museum when we
were located in downtown San Diego. He promises to put it on a DVD so
I have a way of sharing information.

There is supposed to be a display soon at the San Diego State
University Library. I have hopes of working with the people there
sometime in 2008 and 2009

In the meantime people need to READ the explanation on the home
pages. The collection is stored at the university and is not yet open
to the public.

We tried our best but could not find any funding to keep the museum
open so it was gifted to the SDSU Library. This after moving it three
times and empty promises.

We still try to be available for the movie studios. I need to put
that information on the site...

The four movies we have supported are:

Secrets, Lies, and Atomic Spies, for PBS NOVA, Tug Yurgrau Director
Fog of War, for SONY Pictures Classics, Errol Morris Director
BOBBY, for the Weinstein Company, Emilio Estevez, Director
Flags of our Fathers, for Warner Brothers, Clint Eastwood, Director*

You can see shots of our (now their) equipment in all of these motion
pictures. Fog of War earned an Academy Award for Errol Morris

*The Roosevelt White House scene in Flags of our Fathers where I play
the Teletype Operator was cut from the movie.
A portion of the scene is in the companion DVD "Special Features" on
the filming of Flags of our Fathers in the 2-Disk Special Edition.
It was a real interesting experience to work under Clint Eastwood.

Don,

This came through on the Telephone Collectors list server. Did you
want to explain it or should I?
