I've scanned and converted TTY corp. "Specification 50204S" into a 
PDF...  This is the 10 page instruction sheet for the 195415 field 
modification kit to add a three-speed transmission to a M28 - 
specifically TT-47 and TT-69s - but usable on many "standard" 28KSRs.

One of the neat illustrations is a "cutaway" showing how the thing 
works.  Pretty slick engineering to pack a three-speed "box" where two 
gears were before!
