Hello Roger,

Working in Telex had its advantages. I was able to acquire two of my 28ASRs
while at Western Union.
My third is a 28KSR "Mouse Machine" that was liberated from Pac Bell in 1970
by Irv W6FFC and the gang in California.

On the air, I'll use tape first for QTH, Grid and brag list but enjoy a nice
chat using only the Teletype keyboard. I hope that we can have a QSO soon.

G3CQE was a pioneer in RTTY and RTTY DX having accomplished the first
recorded G to G RTTY QSO as well as the first recorded G to VE, VK and ZL QSOs all
in 1959! I never worked him. My earliest G contact with UK was Reg, G6JF
(SK) back in 1967 -1968.

Thanks and 73
Russ WA3FRP

I got rid of my model 19 set some years ago. I would at that time have given
my right arm for a 28ASR. That was the
holy grail in the UK. I don't think anybody ever did get one.

No, you will have to put up with me on the "grey keys" now! However, I can
type lots more than 599 73!

I was taught by the maestro - G3CQE - the first G on HF RTTY.

I've copied the "Greenkeys" list in the hope that others on that?list are also
interested in participating in a Straight key night that would be open to
all, including those who are still capable of using "Heavy Metal" RTTY.
