It probably would be hard to find a tech class that knew a teletype machine. 
I was a tech that had a model 19 (still have it) and built a st-6 from a 
schematic in Ham Radio.  There was a group of about 15 or 20 that had a 
repeater on the 220 mhz band just for rtty.  That was about 20 -25 years 
ago.   I did copy a bunch of the pix off 20 meters at that time.

I did upgrade to extra a while back and finally got on the low bands, but 
have not used it to transmitt with.

Wish some of the mechanical stuff would show up within  a couple of hours 
drive from the middle of North Carolina.
