[GreenKeys] Radio Shack Parts

Hi all:
I would just like to vent my  anger and frustration here about the quality of 
parts at Radio Shack. I went  there looking for 1/4 inch closed circuit jacks 
to mount in a panel. The clerk  asked if I needed some help and I told him 
what I need. With a blank stare, he  asked "what's that?" Anyway there was a 
pkg. of 2 for $3.99. picked 'em up and  took them home. These are not the ones 
that I remember from Radio Shack of old!  What pieces of flimsy Chinese junk! I 
tried using them to no avail and gave up.  I went on line to 
Action-Electronics (no affiliation)and they had them from  Switchcraft for 89 cents each! I 
bought 10..plus some other stuff.
That is the last time I am going into Radio Shack for parts.  GRRRRR!
Anyone else have a similar experience?
