I used muriatic acid to strip the corrosion off of a HyGain
TH6DX, and it is aluminum. Just brush it on with a paint
brush, wait about 1 minutes, and hose it off, finishing up
with soapy water to remove all traces of the acid. Repeat
as required to remove all corrosion. Then wash the pieces
off with dish soap and water to remove all traces. I tried
not to get any on the inside of the tubing, only the outside
and brackets. Small parts I dipped in a gallon glass jar into
which I had enough acid to cover the pieces. DEFINITELY
do this job OUTDOORS!!! And DON'T breath the fumes!!!
