When i picked up all those model 28's a couple years back the fellow 
gave me two boxes of ribbons.  Course they all had 84 dates on them but 
the packages inside were intact.  One i opened was pretty dried out but 
i sprayed it with WD-40 and it printed like gangbusters for quite a while.

I will never ever in my remaining lifetime use 24 of these things so if 
some of you guys want some, cause they have the metal reels, let me know 
and i'll do a couple per request.

I had a couple of the Big Model 40 printer ribbons on spools.  It was a 
pain to do it but i just unwound the amount it took to fill up a smaller 
spool from the big one.  Put a couple of those eyelet's in and had a new 
ribbon to use.  Think there is enough left on the big spool for a couple 
more little ones and they are a lot fresher.
