the plot thickens!  for about 30 years I have used certain stamp pad inks on
my 14-15-19 stuff... no sign of corrosion of any kind from the ink-metal
reaction though I have indeed heard of exactly that outcome...   my
salvation may be my use of off-brand really cheap (imported?) stamp pad ink
perhaps...  I do NOT recommend stamp pad ink in general due to the corrosion
issue, but so far I have escaped the evil consequences...
