That sounds like the carriage stop. It is adjusted for how many characters
you can print on a line. Usually set for 72. Be careful when trying to
bend anyting as a lot of the stuff is hardened and will not bend without
breaking.
Unless something speicial the 15 does not usually have an automatic carriage
return so it just hits the stop and each leter just piles up and makes a big
black mark at the end . Most of the time when sending at machine speed
people will send two carriage returns, a line feed and a leters function to
make sure the carriage gets back to the left side. It takes the 15 about
that long to get back to the left. If it does not make it, it will print a
character where ever it is at on the way back.
