[GreenKeys] some newbie questions

John, WB6AZP, generously gave me one of his Model 15's (so he could
make room for more stuff!) and I just last night got it going "local
loop" on my st-6000's loop supply. (envision several clip leads!)

So, I've got a few questions...

First, the "carriage return" is more like a "backwards tab," in that I
have to hit it several times to get he carriage to fully return. Is
this normal, or do I have some grease to apply? (lithium, got a big
tube of it)

Is there a link to where i can download a maintenance manual, or do I
just have to go hunting on ebay?

Next, whats the procedure to reincarnate the ribbon with WD40? And,
being that I live a block from a Staples store, what modern device
should I try cross-referencing for a new ribbon?

Next, one of my key caps came apart... they key is still there, but a
thin, plastic looking cover came off. Whats the most appropriate glue
to glue this back together with?

Are there any RTTY nets in So Cal? You know, rtty for the fun of rtty,
outside of the usual "plastic tty" contesting?

And lastly, this one is sorta off-topic... Whats a good piece of
"plastic TTY" software for Linux thats as good as MMTTY is for
windows?

Once I gain some ground on the Model 15 and have it on the air, I'll
see about running some lamp cord out to the garage to extend the loop
to the LO-15! ;)

I subscribe in digest mode, so please cc me directly.

Thanks,
Jason kf6pqt

And thanks again, John!!
