We're getting ready to close down here at KSM but before I turn off the filaments I want to thank all of those who have made the effort to copy our RTTY signals and send in reports. It means a lot to know that the transmissions are appreciated. All credit must go to the MRHS Transmitter Department (Steve Hawes, WB6UZX and Bill Ruck, W6VSY) for making this possible.
Here at the receive site I monitor the Baudot transmissions off the air with a Model 28ASR. Then I open the outside door and stand about 20 feet away just to hear the sound of the '28 mixed with the Morse coming in over the receivers flowing out into the atmosphere. I figured I could admit this to a group of fellow true believers.
Next weekend Steve will be away so KSM RTTY will not be on the air (all RTTY broadcasts are controlled from the transmitting station. But we'll be back the following weekend.

RD
