My UPS story,

I get a fone call from a friend, "Lar, there's this huge box over at the 
dump that came from the telephone company"  Has the name Lorain on it!!

I race over to find this unopend crate.  Crack open the front and it's a 
Lorain 2,000 pound UPS designed for a telephone C.O.

It's in the basement now, running on 4 car batteries to give it 48 VDC. 
Brand new outta the box :>)  I am pleased.  No computer spikes/shutdowns 
here.
