In which case, you will have no problem in writing your own low-level,
windoze-free code and in beating a 1943 vintage Colossus in the challenge

Just to let you know, the Lorenz SZ42 cipher machine is capable of
generating around 10^19 different cipher texts from the same plaintext
input, depending on the setting of its 12 cipher wheels.  It randomly stops
one set of five cipher wheels according to the value of one of the plaintext
Baudot bits, and has the ability to add random characters according to
another of the plaintext bits - but with a two character delay.
