[GreenKeys] Back to Teletype...

Don,
I don't disagree with you very often but this time I think you should give
the boys some slack! I first found out about codebreaking and Bletchley
Park from "The world of Mathematics" as a mid-teenager. It was about that
same time that I started to read CQ magazine which described RTTY and I also
started to visit the local radio station with their model 15 RO "in the
closet." A little later I learned about the Model 33 while sitting for
hundreds of hours next to a fellow programming a PDP- 8E. I was in charge
of wiring the cards. My collection of early RTTY publications sits on the
shelf next to my arithmetic books. In my mind I don't separate the
subjects! I suspect that there are a lot of readers of the reflector who
feel the same! Now, if you chose to question anyone's opinions who hasn't
built a terminual unit in a polar relay can----well, that's another matter
entirely!
And my thanks to those who provided Bletchley references. A "one click"
order went out to Amazon last night!
Sincerest 73
