The drycleaning fluid is Perchloroethylene (also called PERC) . Sort
of bad
stuff to work with. Don't breath too much of it in a close space. Also
will take about all the oil out of your skin.

I have tried several times to post a gun cleaning solution that should
work well for the teletype machines but the spam filter cuts it out.
Do a search for Ed's Red.
It is a mix of:

1 part Dexron II or IIe ATF, GM Spec. D-20265 or later.
1 part Kerosene - deodorized, K1
1 part Aliphatic Mineral Spirits, or Stoddard Solvent,
Fed. Spec. TT-T-2981F, CAS #64741-49-9 (aka "Varsol")
1 part Acetone, CAS #67-64-1.

GET THE FANS GOING.... Acetone no less...
