Ken,
As Tom just said, it is most likely a CV-57/URR IF input type tuning 395-470
KC. The hinged cover in the center of the panel has been removed from yours.
It had the nameplate on it. However, although they are quite rare compared
to the CV-57, it could also be a CV-71/URR which tunes 50 KC IF input. They
are physically identical to the point where the top view photo in the NAVSHIPS
says it shows either one.
CV-57/URR was used standalone or two of them with Comparator CM-14/URR
comprise Converter-Comparator Group AN/URA-6. Two each CV-71 plus one CM-14 make
AN/URA-7. There is a third (audio input) converter, CV-60/URR. Two of them
plus one CM-14 make up AN/URA-8 (not to be confused with the completely different
AN/URA-8A or 8B that used CV-89(*)/URA-8 plus CM-22).
One tip before you apply AC power to smoke test it. Find the blower, lube
the bronze bearings with light oil (you can start with WD-40 until the fan will
spin, then something like 10W). If, as received, the blower isn't stuck I
will be quite surprised.
